Signature Control
- Tests and computations, including development of procedures,
numerical models and computer software, in support of design work
on ships, submarines and submersible vehicles for:
- naval ship and commercial vessel radar cross-sections
- radar, laser and infra-red images of naval ships and commercial
vessels
- magnetisation condition of ships of any displacements, their
equipment and systems
- electric fields and corrosion protections for naval ships,
commercial vessels and other surface and submerged facilities
and structures
- electromagnetic interference due to power-generation and radioelectronic
equipment, EMC means and methods
- electrostatic fields as sources of hazardous effects for human
beings, electrostatic safety in storage and transportation of
petroleum products
- mean and fluctuating characteristics of temperature and electric
conductivity, internal wave velocities, amplitudes and propagation
rates on the free fluid surface
- development of means and methods for signature control, for
computations on signature characteristics.
- Development of guidelines, normative and regulatory documents
for designing and ships and other marine technical systems to specified
signature levels
- Design of marine test stations
for ship signature research and measurements, delivery of relevant
guideline documents and computer software, equipment, instrumentation
and sensors
- Manufacture and delivery of equipment for
hull and propeller corrosion protection systems
- Tests of instrumentation for electromagnetic
