Wind Tunnels
1. Large Wind Tunnel
|
The facility is intended for determining
hydro- and aerodynamic characteristics of naval ships and commercial
vessels, velocity fields, pressure distributions over body surfaces,
for the flow structure studies.
The Large Wind Tunnel has a closed-circuit configuration with
an open elliptical cross-section of 4 x 2.3m. The test
section length is 4m. The maximum flow velocity is 100m/s.

2. Small Wind Tunnel
The facility is intended for research
on internal flows in waterjets, pipelines, channels of hydraulic
machines, etc. The Small Wind Tunnel is of the closed-circuit
type and has a closed test section measuring (450 x 300
x 600)·10-3m.
