Seakeeping-&-Manoeuvring Basin

This facility is intended for tests to determine hydrodynamic characteristics of ship models up to 3m in length, as well as for calm water, wave and dynamic positioning tests of radio-controlled self-propelled models.

Basin dimensions: 35 x 22 x 3m. The basin is equipped with a small rotating arm (towing radii 0~8m; speeds up to 5m/s), a plate-type wavemaker for irregular waves with a specified energy spectrum (wave heights up to 0.15m), and special tests rigs for determining ACV model static characteristics and for testing models of free-fall lifeboats.
