submersible vehicle during preparations for pressure tank
testing

The tanks are fitted with a computer-aided
control system and with a variety of measurement and procession
instrumentation for strains and acoustic emission signals. These
provisions make it possible to monitor and analyse hull conditions
directly during the tests
Numerous model and full-scale tests performed in the DK test
tanks included re-certification of pressure hulls and structures
of Paisis-7 and Paisis-11 submersibles designed
to diving depths of 2km, establishing the actual maximum depth
for Rift pressure hulls and checking the strength of hulls for
the Rus series of underwater vehicles capable of diving to 6km
