Vladimir Pavlovich KOPCHENOV

Vladimir Pavlovich KOPCHENOV

Deputy Director of the Krylov Shipbuilding Research Institute, a Corresponding Member of the Russian Engineering Academy and a winner of State Defence Industry and Russian Federation Government Prizes.

He was born in 1949 in Baku, graduated from the Leningrad Shipbuilding Institute in 1973 and then immediately joined the Krylov Shipbuilding Research Institute eventually rising from an engineer to a Deputy Director (1991).

During his years with the Krylov Institute Shipbuilding Research Institute, V.P.Kopchenov has been directly involved in a series of research and development projects associated with new highly-efficient methods and tools for naval and commercial ship electromagnetic signature control. Besides, he participated in finding solutions to numerous practical tasks of national naval hardware development.

Presently, Mr. Kopchenov, as Deputy Director, is in charge of planning and coordinating the work under Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade orders, as well as the work on surface ship projects.

Viacheslav Lvovich MASLOV

Viacheslav Lvovich MASLOV

Deputy Director of the Krylov Shipbuilding Research Institute, Doctor of Technical Sciences, a Corresponding Member of the Metrological Academy and a fellow of the French Acoustic Society.

He was born in 1944 in Leningrad and works at the Krylov Institute rising from and an engineer to a Deputy Director (2003) since 1968 when he graduated from the Leningrad V.I.Ulianov (Lenin) Electrotechnical Institute.

V.L.Maslov is a research expert on physical origins and characteristics of ship hull vibrations, a specialist in the development of noise and vibration control tools and methods for numerical analysis of acoustic parameters. V.L.Maslov has many times supervised ship trial teams sent out by the Krylov Institute and chaired inter-agency boards for at acoustic commissioning trials of various ships.

Today, in his Deputy Director capacity, he is in charge of planning and co-ordination of work done for the Russian Navy and the Russian Ministry of defence, as well as responsible for submarine, deepwater submersible vehicle and naval weapon projects.

Viacheslav Lvovich MASLOV

Yevgeny Mihailovich APPOLONOV

Deputy Director of the Krylov Shipbuilding Research Institute, Doctor of Engineeringl Science, Russian Federation Government Award winner in science and technology.

Born in 1954 in Leningrad.
Mr. Appolonov has been working with the KSRI since 1977, after he had graduated from Leningrad Shipbuilding University. Having started as an engineer, he became Deputy Director in 2009.

Mr. Appolonov is a well-known scientist in the design and strength assessment of surface ships, ice-operating vessels and ice-breakers. In recent years his scientific interests were tightly connected with design as well as ice and seakeeping parameters ensuring of the marine structures purposed for developing oil and gas fields on the shelf of Russian Arctic and freezing seas.

Mr. Appolonov is the author of over 100 scientific works. He has been repeatedly elected to be the member of the International Ship Structure Congress. He is also a presidium member of Scientific and Technical Council in Russian Maritime Register of Shipping and a member of Russian National Committee on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics. Presently, Mr. Appolonov, as Deputy Director, is in charge of planning and coordinating the work with the customers of commercial marine structures.
